Lukashenko warns of 3rd World War, as Belarus prepares to send troops.

The president denied that Belarus was taking part in the fighting, adding that no missiles were being fired from Belarusian territory • "Nuclear war is the end of everything".

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko warned that Western sanctions were pushing Russia towards a "third world war," as The Washington Post reported that Belarus was preparing to send troops into Ukraine on Sunday.

Anonymous: Russian media channels broadcast Ukrainian songs after hacker group declare cyber war

A number of Russian state websites, including the official website of the Kremlin, were affected by the outage on Saturday.

Ukrainian collective, Anonymous, have claimed responsibility for the cyberattacks on Twitter

Pro-Ukraine hackers have launched a wave of cyberattacks against Russia, with Russian TV channels hacked to play Ukrainian songs, and Kremlin government networks disabled in what the hackers describe as a cyber war against Vladmir Putin.

As the war in Ukraine escalates, the official Kremlin website, kremlin.ru, was affected by the outage on Saturday along with another six Russian state websites. It came as Ukraine’s vice prime minister said it had launched an ‘IT army’ to combat Russia in cyberspace.

Britain says wholly unprovoked attack on Ukraine starting, Kyiv airport cancels flights.

KYIV, Feb 24 (Reuters) - Britain's ambassador to Ukraine said a "wholly unprovoked attack" on the country was starting after Russian President Vladimir Putin authorised a special military operation there.

Kyiv's Zhuliany airport was cancelling flights, the Interfax Ukraine news agency said. Earlier, a Reuters witness heard blasts in the capital.

"A wholly unprovoked attack on a peaceful country, Ukraine, is unfolding. Horrified," British ambassador Melinda Simmons said on Twitter.
